There was a full page ad for this in my Chicago Tribune today. I can't find it here anywhere but I can't get around very well yet. It was published in 2015.

Just received the hardback " Duke; In his own words". Can't hardly put it down! What an incredible collection of personal moments from the man.
-
I really enjoyed that book, as well. Sure wish it had more than it did. Can't get enough!

Here is an article from Atlantic Magazine
How John Wayne Became a Hollow Masculine Icon - The Atlantic
that reviews,
Wayne and Ford: The Films, the Friendship, and the Forging of an American Hero
By Nancy SchoenbergerAnd
Hank and Jim: The Fifty-Year Friendship of Henry Fonda and James Stewart
By Scott Eyman. -
Almost done re-reading Scott Eyman book John Wayne: The Life and Legend
What is the last John Wayne book you've read?
-
It's funny you brought this up. I just started reading John Wayne: The Genuine Article by Michael Goldman. I've read it when I first bought it, and am now giving it a re-read. Over the years, I have collected many books about Duke and many books that his movies were made from. Heck, I even have the John Wayne paper doll book.
