Goldfinger.

I was always kind of partial to: From Russia With Love, because Pedro Armendariez and Robert Shaw both were in it.

The Spy who loved me, Roger Moore is the only real Bond to me. Or the original Casino Royal which is just hilarious (the new Casino Royal is about the worst of the whole lot)
-
The overall best was Goldfinger althrough I still also like Live & Let Die and Golden Eye. The most realistic was For Your Eyes Only despite Roger being a bit past it.
Weakest film was A Man with the Golden Gun despite having Christopher Lee and the Timothy Dalton movies.

Would have to be "Goldfinger" and "From Russia with Love" for me. I understand Pedro Armendariz was already dying from cancer when he did his role in "Russia" and it turned out to be a topnotch performance.
As an aside, Matt Monro, who sung the title song in "Russia," died the same day my father died. (February 7, 1985)

Is there a bad Bond movie???
Well there is, all the Timathy Dalton movies are pathetic.
I thought Pierce Brosnan was great in Goldeneye. Favorite Sean Connery was Goldfinger. and thought the newest with Daniel Craig was awesome, Casino Royale.
I would say my most favorite is Goldfinger, then Casino Royale and then Goldeneye. -
I noticed a couple of years ago, after not having seen any Bond movies for over 30 years, that as we went through them all during a James Bond kick, that few of them seemed to measure up to my memories of them. But then, movie technology has developed exponentially in the past few years.
A funny aside here - when our kids were younger, they thought he was saying, "Blonde - James Blonde."

Hi
I liked From Russia With Love a good cast brilliant theme music when the chase scenes were on and a nice title song.
I don't know if I have quoted this story before but Sean Connery was contracted to 20th Century fox and never made a film for them until shortly before his contract was running out and he appeared in a small part in The Longest Day. Being only a minor actor he caught a train in france with some of the cast and was forced to sit on the floor of the train as he couldn't get a seat.
Knowing that he was not going to get a new contract with 20th century a colleague asked him what he intended to do next. looking down his nose Connery said I have a part in some British film playing a secret agent named James Bond, it's not musch but all thats available.
The rest they say is history and connery's colleague said that from not being important enough to get a seat on the train nowadays he could afford to buy it.

Sean Connery is the only one true James Bond.
-
Well, I guess I'm kindly partial to Live and let Die.
-
Quite welcome Jay.
I grew up with both Roger Moore and Sean Connery being James Bond. I like both actors equally and could never really honestly choose who I think is better than who? even though From Russia With Love is my fav Bond film. I think the reason it is is like I mentioned earlier--because Armendariez and Shaw both were in it. -
I think I enjoy Sean Connery more. I've enjoyed him in a lot of other movies, so that must count for something.
Unfortunately, he and Maureen O'Hara have never starred in a movie together. That would have been a most interesting pairing.

Sean Connery is the only Bond, although Daniel Craig is good as well. From Russia with Love and Goldfinger were the best movies.

Hi
I must admit that when Daniel Craig was nominated for the role of Bond everyone put it down as ridiculous idea and continually did him down in the press. But after seeing his first attempt it must be admitted that he didn't do a bad job. He certainly beat George Lazenby for instance.

Truthfully I have enjoyed all the actors that have played Bond except for Lazenby and Dalton. The ones I like the most are Connery and Brosnan but Roger Moore was in a few that I enjoyed as well.
This new Bond played by Craig updates the series so that it fits in with todays times. I enjoyed Craig's Bond as much as any of Brosnan's and it rivals a few Connery bond film's as well. From what I am hearing the new Bond movie set for next fall(Nov. 08) is going to be alot like the first Craig film but there will be alittle more humor in it. -
I didn't care much for the Dalton - Bond movies and glad he made only two. I was just really starting to get used to Brosnan playing Bond when he decided to "exit-the-building" as far as being James Bond.
-
Dalton was too angry and Licence to KIll was very violent for a Bond movie. I wish really he had started earlier instead of Moore staying in the part until he was nearly 60.
