"An Evening With Butch & The Gang" will gather new and old Camp friends for some Wild West fun featuring a screening of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The celebration will kick-off with highlights of Camp's growing services.

Founded by Paul Newman in 1988, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a nonprofit, residential summer camp and year-round center in Ashford, Connecticut serving children and families coping with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions. In addition to its signature summer camping experience, the Camp offers programs from fall through spring for campers, their families and healthcare professionals, serving a total of 15,000 children annually. Through our year-round Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Hospital Outreach Program, our Outreach Specialists bring the joy and healing of Camp right to the bedsides of seriously ill children in hospitals from New York to Boston. All of the Camp's services are provided free of charge. It is through the generosity of many friends that the programs of The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp are made possible.

  • "The Man From Laramie"
    -James Stewart

A stranger out to avenge his brothers murder finds agang selling rifles to the Apaches,

Phantoms Review: Along with "Winchester'73", this is my favorite James Stewart western. Great action. story and acting. A classic.

They'd never forget the day,the stranger rode into town

  • Pony Express Days (1940)
A youthful Buffalo Bill Cody joins the newly-formed Pony Express as a station hand and replaces the regular rider when he is shot by Southern sympathizer.

For Christmas, Chester received all six seasons of The Adventures of Superman - you know, the one from the fifties. We've been enjoying watching them. One of the special features was the short film, Pony Express Days, with George Reeves playing the "youthful Buffalo Bill Cody."

We give it :star::star::star::star: (out of 5). We were all impressed with the oath the riders were expected to adhere to, which included, among other things, a promise to not use profane language. Imagine that!

Mrs. C :angel1: and the kiddos

  • Western Union with Robert Young and Randolph Scott. Not a bad movie. I rather enjoyed it.

    Cheers

  • In the last couple of weeks...

"Two Mules for Sister Sara". Good entertaining Eastwood movie.

"Flaming Star". one of Elvis' better movies.

"Between God, The Devil, and a Winchester" A spaghetti western from the 60's or 70's. BAD MOVIE!!!

The first three Episodes of "Wanted Dead or Alive". (One of my Christmas presents) Great show. I love how they can tell a good story in less than 30 minutes. Now, they can't even do that in 3 hours!

  • Hi

A sort of snap while Chester watched the junior Pony Express I watched the original Pony Express with Charlton Heston and Forrest Tucker.

Amazing thing they go all the way across the west delivering horses taking about seven or eight weeks and neither the two leading actors or the leading lady change their clothes.
